Avian Flu in Dawlish
Late last night after photographing the shop windows, I had some time by the brook. In this photo, the dad to all the cygnets came and swam next to me while I sat on the path.
He’s lost his partner and the last clutch of cygnets to avian flu and it was surreal to have that moment together.
I have visited this swan and his family almost every day for the past few years and we have built up a lot of trust.
I never feed them as I want them to trust me with my camera. He is greaving the loss of most of his family and its very sad.
