Network Rail use one of my photographs for the new Dawlish sea wall plaque
On the 11th May 2020, I took my photo gear up on to Lea Mount in Dawlish with the sole purpose of getting a long exposure shot of a passing train. The sea was a little rough, there was a beautiful sunset taking place over the back of Dawlish and the new sea wall was in the midst of being built.
I was up there for around two hours and the light just wasn’t quite right for the shot I wanted. I was getting cold at this point as I didn’t expect myself to be up there for so long but I waited for one more train to come through and timed it just right!
A few weeks before the official opening of Dawlish Sea Wall, Network Rail contacted me to ask if they could use one of my photos for the official plaque. After a few meetings at head office, this was the shot they chose.
